# linkedin.author.org_not_supported

> Org/Company posting requires LinkedIn's Marketing Developer Platform (MDP). Not in v1.

## What it checks

If the connected LinkedIn account is bound to a `urn:li:organization:*` author, this rule fires. v1 of the publisher only supports personal posting (`urn:li:person:*`).

## Why

Org posting requires LinkedIn's Marketing Developer Platform (MDP) approval and the `w_organization_social` scope, which we request only as `extended` (off by default). MDP approval ships in a follow-up slice after the personal-posting wedge clears review.

## Remediation

For now, post from a personal account. Org/Company posting lands once MDP approval clears. Watch the [changelog](/changelog).
